XLIV

It had been a difficult stretch of days,
She lay down, closed her eyes,
And felt the universe settle on her.

She was not sure if wished she had to carry less, or if she wished she had more strength.
She was tired.

And then there was his face in the darkness, whenever she closed her eyes.
Warm, and beautiful, longingly singed in her mind.

That weight she bore, she imagined, she can carry on her shoulders.
It was fine.

His face on her mind, she reassured herself once more, will eventually fade.
Although it was taking forever.
